This year long fellowship includes hands-on cosmetic dermatology concentrating in research under the direction of Dr. Amy Taub, who was awarded "Teacher of the Year" by the 2007 Northwestern University Medical School of Dermatology Residents Program. 

 

Our cosmetic services include an expansive array of technology for facial and body rejuvenation.  We have over 10 laser and aesthetic devices including:  ThermaCool NXT; Fraxel SR1500; Cutera CoolGlide Xeo (Genesis, Vantage, OPS 600, Prowave, LimeLight, Titan, Pearl); Syneron Aurora, Comet, ReFirme, Matrix IR, VelaSmooth/VelaShape; Aesthera Isolaz; the MEDUCE for the Pan G Lift; and more.  We are also one of the leading providers of injectable services in the Chicago metropolitan area.  We support our cosmetic services with a high end photography system, Mirror by Canfield Imaging, so that we can objectively evaluate our patient's results.

 

In addition, fellows would be important sub-investigators in clinical trials (both medical and cosmetic) as well as assist in publications and presentations at meetings.  We have performed or are performing clinical research in association with leading pharmaceutical and laser companies.  We also perform investigator initiated studies.  Dr. Taub has given podium presentations at the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery (ASLMS), American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS), International Society for Photodynamic Therapy, and the World Congress of Dermatology from the data collected during these studies.  She has also published numerous papers in respected peer reviewed journals with our research findings.

 

We do not offer MOHs surgery, liposuction, or hair transplants.  We are also NOT accredited for a procedural fellowship.

 

 

 

We are recruiting a board-certified or board-eligible dermatologist to join our team of providers for general and cosmetic dermatology.  

 

In February 2003 Advanced Dermatology opened to provide full-service general and cosmetic dermatology.  This beautiful facility and professional organized staff has been praised by numerous medical professionals as a blueprint for integrating medical facilities with spa comfort.  Our practice has grown exponentially, now servicing more than 15,000 patients.  We pride ourselves in providing an equal amount of general and cosmetic services.  The practice has an overwhelming demand for general dermatology visits, with an average wait time of 2-3 months to see Dr. Taub and 1 month to see our Physician Assistants.  Our general dermatology patients and physician referrals feed our cosmetic practice, which is heavily booked for cosmetic consultations and cosmetic procedures.  Due to our patient demand and growth needs, we are ready to add an additional physician to our practice to expand our dermatology care and accessibility.  Over the past four years we have enhanced our schedule to meet the needs and trends of our practice.  Each year, we have modified the hours of patient care and scheduling slots, increased our staff of skilled licensed and/or certified professionals, researched and developed new protocols for advanced treatment therapies, and have added to our supply of effective treatment technology.  Dr. Taub leads our team of providers which includes two Certified Physician Assistants, both with over five years of experience in dermatology, one Laser Provider who is also a Certified Medical Laser Safety Officer, one Cosmetologist and one Esthetician.  With over 25 support staff, Advanced Dermatology prides itself in its high level of patient satisfaction, high rate of collections, and a constant growing patient database due primarily to its referrals from patients and physicians.

 

In 2006, Dr. Taub developed a research institue, SkinQRI.  Since its opening SkinQRI has had the opportunity to work with sponsors such as Allergan, Thermage, Syneron, Cutera, DUSA, Alma, Galderma, Genetech, Novartis, Astellas and Amgen/Wyeth.  Previous and current research studies focused on cosmetic and medical dermatological issues such as facial rejuvenation, nasolabial folds, cellulite, laxity of upper arms, cosmeceuticals, acne, rosacea, hyperhidrosis, psoriasis, and atopic dermatitis.

 

To complete our circel of dermatologic care, Skinfo® Specialty Skincare Boutique provides high end skincare to our patients and the public featuring over 400 cosmeceutical, physician and prescription strength products, mineral makeup, and waxing services.  Each product has been hand-selected based on its researched efficacy and cosmetic elegance.  Skinfo® offers a unique solution for the general public to address their skin concerns.  Licensed Estheticians and Cosmetologists, personally trained and supervised by Dr. Taub, provide extensive skincare consultations to develop custom regimens.  As a unique retail concept featuring professional skin care products not available in traditional retail outlets, Skinfo® has become the premier location to receive high end skincare direct from expert professionals.  Skinfo® Specialty Skincare Boutique has recently expanded to a prominent retail ground floor location at CityPark Complex.

 

Advanced Dermatology and SkinQRI are located in a 4500 sq ft second floor space in the CityPark Complex of Lincolnshire, IL.  The CityPark Complex offers the benefits of the city life, located in the suburbs.  With high end retail boutiques for women, teens and children, elite restaurants including Wildfire and Big Bowl, a Regal Cinema IMAX theater, and a growing corporate center, CityPark has become a booming center for suburban families.

 

The village of Lincolnshire is a quickly growing community located on the border of the north shore suburbs of Chicago.  Our patient demographic covers the greater Chicagoland area with the majority coming from withing a 10 mile radius.  The average annual income of the families in the Lincolnshire area is greater than $100,000.  In addition a large number of our clients come from the city of Chicago due to Advanced Dermaology's national recognition in excellence and some patients even travel from the surroundig states including Wisconsin, Iowa, Michigan and Indiana.
